Smashed Agave is the story of two keen travellers, who packed up their suitcases and arrived in Australia for an adventure.

It just so happened that the first stop was Darwin, in the Northern Territory. It also just so happened, that there was a Mexican restaurant located on the waterfront which proudly promoted their extensive range of more than 300 tequilas at the time, certainly the biggest range of tequila we had come across in Australia, or outside of Mexico and the USA for that matter.

So, as any adventurous or questionable South Africans would do, we decided to try them all!

We are amateurs, but we like a good quality tequila and to have a little fun. So began our ‘not so serious tequila reviews.

We currently live in Australia and continue to search the continent and globe for interesting new flavours, venues and friends.
